The old functionality was SO much better... we could actually run a moderated chat. The new, walled off pods severely inhibit our ability to run successful meetings. This is only the largest of many 'upgrades' in Connect 8 that have actually negatively impacted our use of the software.
I'm hopeful that Adobe wants to keep its customers and will fix this issue promptly. |

In adobe connect 7.5, the Q&A organization was a lot better:
I was able to have a small pod next to my slides for participants to enter questions - but have a very large pod in the private moderator section to handle answers: send them to other people or directly answer them. Looking at the space on my desktop, it does make a difference whether to optimize the pod layout for people who have short questions or optimize it for the people who answer in the worst case a large number of questions simultaneously. |

URGENT! Adobe needs to update the Caption Extension pod so that it works with Adobe Connect 8. Since many of our participants are deaf/hard of hearing, the main reason we purchased AC was because it is easily compatible with captioning services. It currently works in our AC 7.5 account, but not AC 8.
Please fix this as soon as possible, as we are primarily federally funded and must always make electronic and information technology (EIT) accessible to people with disabilities. |

As a Host in v7.5 when I turned on the Presenter Only area the participant window/view would resize to fit the window. No scroll bars were added.
As a Host in V8, when I turned on the Presenter Only area the participant window/view does not re-size and now scroll bars are added. Scroll bars make it difficult to navigate all my open PODs. The functionality of this needs to be restored to how it worked in v7.5 |

In the previous version of the Outlook Add-in, it was possible to schedule either an existing meeting room or create a new meeting room.
The latest version removed the creation of new meeting room directly from the add-in. I'd like that functionality back. (it seems it is in the Lotus notes add-in). |

User should be able to open a YouTube video URL in Connect Meeting. Video should play in full quality for every user directly from YouTube. I should be able to pause, seek (navigate to different parts of the video) and same should reflect for all users. This could be extended to other online video sites, live streaming as well.
User should be able to point to a PS.com, flickr, Picasa web album and share photos with people in the mtg. |

Inside our organization a lot of people are actually moving from Windows to Linux Desktop. As I am using an Ubuntu Linux Client I am not able load the Connect Add-In because it do not have a Linux version.

Today one need access to the video pod to mute the sound of an attendee on host computer (not in the meeting room as such). It would make much more sense if this feature was accessed via the attendee list instead. Often you do not want to use the video pod during the meeting or a particular layout, and then you would not have access to this feature.
Muting the sound from each individual on one single host computer is an important feature. But the feature is hard to find via the video pod. Other forms of sound handling is also located in the attendee list, and it would make sense to handle this feature there as well. |

The Note Pod is a very important feature in a Connect meeting. Via the Note Pod people have an online text editor they all can access at all times. However, the editor is very basic and lots of improvements can be made.
If content is deleted, this action can not be undone. This is a serious problem if you want to use the Note Pod for text that is not just very short notes. Often the Note Pod is used for agendas and minutes and more extented text formats in a meeting, but this is very risky if you cannot undo actions and for example recover deleted text. In the Whiteboad you can undo and redo actions, and it would be nice to see this in the Note Pod as well. |
